Princess Bingo Seeks Royal Gaming Revenue Once Again with Electronic Bingo

Hamilton could soon see gaming expansion that is projected to change the local landscape and potentially attract a crowd of gaming enthusiasts. Princess Bingo wants to step up its game which would happen with the application for electronic bingo offerings to be featured on the premises of the gaming location. Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation would have to consider the application and issue its response.

Elevating the player experience and making it a more vibrant one is an approach many casino operators are willing to implement in order to achieve more. Players would always want the best when it comes to gaming, as modern gaming solutions are attractive on a daily basis. Hamilton is ready to see something new or the last surviving bingo location would find its future harder than it should be. City officials would have to express their support soon.

Bingo Might Close for Good without E-Bingo

Princess Bingo recently made it clear that electronic Bingo would have to happen soon, otherwise, the gaming venue would have to close for good in about a year. This expansion has to happen with the support of the city council and a mandatory vote deciding the bingo hall’s fate.

John VanDuzer of the Princess Bingo Sponsors Association, noted that there is no future for Princess Bingo without a modernization. The importance of this decision is to be reckoned with, as the gaming operation currently taking place there is able to fuel as many as 52 charitable organizations across the area. Such regular financial help allows them to continue developing their ideas and projects.

In addition to that, the host community benefits from gaming revenue allocations on a regular basis, amounting to about CA$295,000 per year. This Tuesday saw the official vote of City Council members, eventually greenlighting efforts towards electronic bingo legalization. This new offering is able to attract a crowd thanks to its futuristic design and the modern feel to it. Ir redefines bingo for a younger demographic.

Problem Gambling Concerns Expressed

While the City Council gave its approval for potential future expansion, concerns were also expressed in relation to the new offering. The vote saw 8-1 support of this new offering, with a sole opponent of the idea. Maureen Wilson, Ward 1 councilor, reminded that problem gambling is a factor that should be taken into account.

People in a vulnerable position, as well as the elders, are often drawn to gaming offerings seeking financial boost. The rest of the councilors were eager to see action happening, as local charitable organizations’ future is at stake if Princess Bingo fails to gain more popularity. The venue has been operation over the past three decades but the number of people making their way there on a regular basis has been slumping ever since 2017.

What could be done at this point, is an assessment of the potential risks of electronic bingo within the Hamilton community. Coun. Wilson wants to see this happen in the foreseeable future. Supporters of electronic bingo expansion idea said that Princess Bingo would have to keep up with the times and nearly 40 bingo locations across Ontario that have already introduced the new offering.
