Only Two Weeks until an Unclaimed CA$10,000 Pick-4 Prize Ticket Bought near Toronto Becomes Invalid

Lottery is able to provide many players with the chance of winning big combined with the thrill of gaming. Prizes should be claimed in the period of time specified on every ticket, but as it turns out there are only two weeks left until one lucky winner will no longer have the legal right to bag their CA$10,000 won with its help.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is well-known for its wide array of games available on a daily basis with impressive cash payouts. The timely reaction of payers who have won one of the grand prizes is crucial in this type of games, as waiting for too long could cost them a fortune. The gaming corporation announced this Wednesday that there is a CA$10,000 Pick-4 prize still unclaimed and there is only so much time left until the deadline for collecting.

Lucky Combo Picked in North York

December 6, 2017 is a date of significance in this particular situation, as this is when the lucky draw took place. Almost twelve months ago the Pick 4 evening draw highlighted the numbers 1, 2, 5, and 3. There is a ticket bearing the same number combination somewhere, but not a soul to claim the large amount of cash coming with it.

The ticket was sold shortly before the draw at the beginning of December at a location within North York. Every player has exactly a year to claim their prize once the winning draw has taken place. A possible explanation of such a delay in the prize collection could be that the player has lost the winning ticket, or damaged it in a way that could not be mended.

What should be done if the ticket is intact, is that the owner has to follow the mandatory steps. On the back of the ticket, all information required should be filled in a clear and precise manner. The ticket could be validated by an OLG retailer at this point and if this has happened, the player should also obtain a Customer Receipt.

Prize Claim Excpected in the Next Weeks

The winner must be able to identify themselves as the winner with the help of an ID and an additional photocopy of the ID. Furthermore, they should also fill in a Lottery Prize Claim Declaration Form which is mandatory for prize above CA$1,000.

The said declaration provides further information about the winner, whether or not they are in any way related to a member of OLG’s Board of Directors or any other employee of the company. Both a witness and the claimant should sign the declaration. The OLG Support Center is available for further information and questions at 1-800-387-0098.

The winner has until December 6, 2018 to bag their prize at the OLG Prize Center in Toronto at 20 Dundas Street West. The deadline is at 6 p.m. but the prize could be claimed as soon as tomorrow. Upcoming weeks might see more development on the case and the winner finally making their way to the OLG Prize Center for the prize coveted by many.
