Winnipeg based Gigadat Inc., has signed a deal with online payment specialist, Easy Payment Gateway (EPG) in a distribution deal for the company’s Interac2Pay solution. EPG will become the official vendor of the payment processor’s products which are currently already in use by European operators who have Canadian-facing online casinos and other B2C gateways.
The Interac2Pay product is used to allow players the convenience of making in-app or online deposits directly from their bank accounts. The process allows for added security and gives players without credit cards additional options in depositing their funds.
The announcement came on the heels of EPG closing a £5.5m funding exercise used to create cash for operations growth and to open two new European offices – one in Malta and the other in Madrid.
VP of Business Development at Gigadat Solutions, Sebastien Maraine said in a statement: “We are delighted to have signed a deal with Easy Payment Gateway. This partnership will put our product in front of more operators than ever before, and in most of our target growth markets,” according to a report on the iGaming Business website.
EPG’s CEO, Jose Peral said: “We are always looking to strengthen our product offering and the addition of Interac2Pay means even more choice for our partners and their players.” He added, “We are delighted to be one of the first gambling distributors of Interac2Pay in Europe, providing our clients with operations in Canada with additional payment options.”
Easy Payment Gateway offers merchants over 220 different online payment methods and is flexible enough to service accounts of any size through a highly secure and easy to integrate api.
The development is good for Canadian players seeking new ways to deposit. Best Casinos Canada lists a variety of payment methods ranked by features such as deposit and withdrawal times and whether or not they allow manual flushing. Most casinos hold onto your winnings for up to 24 hours before processing the payment. Some, like Thrills Casino, don’t need to offer the service as all payments are immediate.
Many players find eWallets such as Neteller, Skrill, and EcoPayz to be the quickest deposit and withdrawal methods. The wallets can be funded with a credit card and winnings can be easily transferred to a bank account. Interac2Pay is more akin to instant banking methods like Instadebit and Citadel. Scotiabank, TD Bank, RBC, and BMO participate with Interac2Pay.
