Caesars Windsor Supports Earth Month by E-Waste Recycling Events

Fighting pollution and excessive electronic waste could substantially reduce the negative impact people have on the environment. Recycling in the right was is encouraged and Caesars Windsor wants to make a step in the right direction this April. Locals and people from neighboring communities are welcome to leave their unwanted electronics at the public drop-off scheduled to take place on April 23 and 24.

Earth Month is a brave initiative that aims to benefit humanity and reduce the negative impact we have on the planet. Via various collaborations and projects, individuals are prompted to participate in it for their own benefit and for the benefit of the planet. The casino venue in Windsor is also ready to join the movement in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Anyone interested could participate in the noble drop-off by leaving their old gadgets they would no longer use.

Casino Venue Collects Old Electronics

The congregation is currently in the parking area across The Colosseum theatre adjacent to the complex. Items could be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. today and tomorrow, offering everyone interested with the opportunity to do something good to the community and the planet. The unwanted electronics would be collected in special large bins already anticipating their first items.

People could drop off gadgets of all shapes and sizes ranging from amplifiers, cameras, cell phones, computers, and old televisions. The very process of recycling is quite interesting and crucial, as it affects the Earth more than we can imagine. In 2017 solely, Canadians were able to generate nearly 640,000 tons of e-waste that could have been recycled in an appropriate manner. As time goes by this amount is expected to increase.

The Bureau of International Recycling projects that in six years North America is going to generate some 9.25 million metric tons of electronic and electrical equipment waste in a matter of 12 months. Said items could no longer be used and they should be recycled instead of simply thrown away since they could pose a threat on the land.

Recycling Saves the Planet

If they are not recycled it is imminent that the electronics would begin leaking toxic elements going straight into the land and harming it. For example, batteries have to be recycled in a special manner by being melted down. The acid they contain is especially toxic for the environment. Caesars Windsor made it clear that some elements from the electronics would be used in the production of new items.

Steel, glass, copper, and precious metals could be used for the creation of something new that could facilitate people’s lives instead of laying forgotten in a drawer in their home. Interest in this initiative is projected to be high which would eventually lead to increase traffic in the area.

In order to ease it, Caesars Windsor is going to ensure there is an area at Chatham Street making the process hassle-free. Recycling events will take place over the weekend too, as Devonshire Mall is going to host the Always Consider Tomorrow event on April 27. Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., locals could get rid of electronics they would no longer use at the parking area adjacent to the mall.
